The following entry is part of the Arkfall Field Archive — a record documenting the events that reshaped the world after the arrival of the Arks.

Following the initial Arkfall encounter documented in Log 03, continued field operations with the Arkfall familiar now designated Glimmerkit have produced a number of consistent behavioral and energy patterns worth documenting.

While Glimmerkit appears physically small and outwardly resembles a cosmic feline, her internal structure is not biological in the traditional sense. Instrument scans indicate that the majority of her mass is composed of stabilized Arkfall energy held in place by a persistent Arkfall resonance core located at the center of her chest.

This core behaves similarly to a miniature stellar reactor.

It fluctuates in brightness depending on environmental energy conditions and appears capable of both absorbing and venting Arkfall radiation.

Initial observations confirm that Glimmerkit’s abilities increase dramatically in proximity to Arkfall anomalies.

Under normal conditions, Glimmerkit maintains what can be described as a low-energy Ember State. During this state the core emits a soft glow, the tail flame remains small and steady, and Glimmerkit’s behavior mirrors that of a curious domestic kitten.

However, even in this calm state she demonstrates a remarkable ability to detect Arkfall signatures long before standard Ark Hunter instruments register a change.

Multiple field tests have confirmed that Glimmerkit will react to Arkfall fragments or energy spikes several seconds before scanner alerts activate.

In practice, this makes her an extremely reliable early-warning system.

When environmental Arkfall radiation increases, Glimmerkit enters what can be described as a Resonance State.

During this phase:

• the Arkfall core brightens significantly

• her ember tail lengthens and burns hotter

• small sparks begin drifting from her fur

• her eyes emit a stronger emerald glow

In this condition, Glimmerkit appears capable of tracking unstable Arkfall fragments and guiding movement through volatile zones. On multiple occasions she has led navigation paths through crystal fields that later proved significantly safer than the routes indicated by standard mapping scans.

The most dramatic shift occurs during full Arkfall activity.

During a meteor impact event observed in the western impact zone, Glimmerkit entered what researchers are now calling Bloom State.

The Arkfall core intensified until it resembled a small star. The surrounding crystals within the crater began glowing in response, and the air filled with drifting energy particles similar to meteor dust.

Electronics within the immediate area stabilized temporarily, suggesting that Glimmerkit may have the ability to regulate Arkfall radiation fields in close proximity.

The familiar showed no signs of distress during this event.

Instead, she appeared energized.

It is worth noting that Glimmerkit’s tail flame functions as a constant energy venting mechanism. Arkfall energy absorbed through the resonance core appears to be released through the tail in the form of stable plasma-like emissions. The intensity of the flame correlates directly with the amount of Arkfall radiation present in the environment.

This venting process likely prevents dangerous energy buildup within the core.

Despite these extraordinary capabilities, Glimmerkit’s behavior remains consistently gentle and inquisitive. She frequently investigates equipment, climbs onto control panels, and demonstrates an unusual fascination with mechanical devices and Ark Tech fragments.

Most importantly, she maintains an unwavering proximity to the operator.

Whether this behavior is the result of imprint crystallization during her formation or a conscious choice remains unclear.

What is clear, however, is that Glimmerkit is not merely reacting to Arkfall energy.

She is resonating with it.

And in many cases, she seems to understand it better than any instrument we currently possess.
