Operator,
A recovered archive fragment has been transmitted through the AKC Signal network.
The following entry is part of the Arkfall Field Archive — a record documenting the events that reshaped the world after the arrival of the Arks.

OPERATOR LOG 01
ARKFALL, ARKS, AND THE WORLD WE INHERITED
══════════════════════════════
Before Ark Hunters existed… before Arkfall storms reshaped the planet… there were the Arks.
The Arks were enormous extraterrestrial colony vessels that entered Earth’s orbit during the Pale Wars — a global conflict between humanity and the alien Votan Collective. These vessels were designed to transport entire civilizations across interstellar distances, each carrying advanced technologies far beyond what existed on Earth at the time.
When the conflict escalated, several Arks were destroyed in orbit.
The wreckage did not burn away in the atmosphere.
Instead, the shattered fragments scattered across the sky like an artificial asteroid field. Over time, gravity and orbital decay pulled pieces of those massive structures down to the surface.
These impacts became known as Arkfalls.
Unlike natural meteor strikes, Arkfalls brought with them alien technology, exotic materials, and unknown energy signatures. Entire regions of Earth were transformed overnight. Forests crystallized. Cities collapsed beneath impact zones. Strange new ecosystems formed around the debris.
Humanity quickly learned that Arkfall zones were both dangerous and invaluable.
From the wreckage came Ark Tech.
Ark Tech refers to the surviving technological fragments recovered from Ark debris. These remnants include advanced weapons systems, energy devices, terraforming mechanisms, and unknown machinery that scientists still struggle to understand.
Some Ark Tech still functions.
Some reacts violently when activated.
Some appears to be partially alive.
Because Arkfall debris fell across the entire planet, these sites became critical locations for survival, research, and power. Entire industries emerged around salvaging Ark Tech and studying the energy it releases.
But Arkfall zones are unstable.
The alien energy contained within Ark debris continues to interact with Earth's environment in unpredictable ways. Arkfalls still occur when orbital fragments finally decay and crash to the surface. Each new impact reshapes the land and creates fresh zones of volatile energy.
To survive in this new world, specialized operatives were needed.
Explorers who could navigate Arkfall zones.
Salvagers capable of recovering technology from unstable debris fields.
Hunters who could track the strange creatures and anomalies created by Arkfall energy.
These operatives became known as Ark Hunters.
Today, Arkfall sites remain the most dangerous and most valuable locations on Earth. Every new Arkfall brings both opportunity and catastrophe.
And somewhere among the falling debris, strange things occasionally happen.
Energy condenses.
Anomalies form.
And once… in a quiet Arkfall crater surrounded by fractured Ark Tech…
A tiny cosmic familiar opened her eyes.
